
Warning for Disaffiliation Held to Indian Hockey by International Hockey Federation
Legal Notice to India
Leandro Negre who is the president of International Hockey Federation gave legal order to India to elect an organization of the hockey team till the end of May 31, 2010. In non compliance of the order of federation India will be disaffiliated.
Reaction to Action
It was said that the matter is far better informally for Hockey India which was the year ago. Leandro Negre, President of International Hockey Federation further added in his speech that their responsibility is to smooth the progress of the process. In regards to India, India herself has to solve her Hockey India problem. In any means Hockey India has to be elected before end of May 31 otherwise International Hockey Federation will forbid India to continue to be member of the International Hockey Federation. Reaction will be put to action if India fails to follow the order in time.
Hockey India Position
Leandro Negre also agreed that World Hockey Federation is well concerned about the Hockey India position. The position of the Hockey India is far better today as it use to be. However World hockey federation is always ready for open conversation with Hockey India.
Significance of Hockey India
Leandro Negre said that he understands the significance of India in the world hockey but at the same time it is also necessary that India should form a powerful Hockey India for the International hockey game. It is required by the International federation to have liberal, just and cheat free election. India has to come forward to bring the election process successful.
One state One federation
Leandro Negre added in his speech during the membership procedure that each and every country must have only one federation. If there is more than one federation then every now and then they have to wait for the conclusion of the judgment given by the court.
No Government Interference
He also stated that he does not want any interference of the government. All the decision is to be taken by the Hockey India itself without sport ministry intervention.
